1. Overview

CallTimes ("we," "our," or "the app") is a time tracking application designed for motion picture freelancers, film and television production crew members, and department heads. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being fully transparent about how we handle your data.

2. Information We Collect and Store

CallTimes collects and stores the following information locally on your device:

Job and Time Tracking Data

  • Job names, production titles, and descriptions
  • Work dates and times (call times, wrap times, 1st and 2nd meal breaks)
  • Department, position, and crew member information
  • Notes and custom fields you add to jobs or work days
  • Rate information (stored locally only, never transmitted to external servers)

Contacts Access

  • With your explicit permission, the app accesses your device's contacts locally so you can link crew members, departments, or production contacts to specific jobs and call sheets. Contact data is never transmitted, harvested, or uploaded to any external server.

Device Information

  • File timestamps for data organization and sorting
  • Local storage space information for database management
  • System boot time for performance monitoring
  • User defaults and preferences for app settings
What We Never Collect:
  • Personal identifying information (name, email, phone number)
  • Location or GPS data
  • Photos or camera access
  • Financial or bank account details
  • Advertising identifiers (IDFA)
  • Any third-party tracking or behavioral analytics

3. How We Use Your Information

All information you enter into CallTimes is used exclusively for:

  1. Local Storage: Displaying your jobs, linked contacts, crew members, and work history within the app.
  2. iCloud Backup & Sync: Synchronizing your data securely across your own iPhone and iPad devices using Apple's CloudKit.
  3. Data Export: Allowing you to export your timecard records in CSV or formatted text.

4. Data Storage and Security

Local Storage

All records are stored locally using iOS native sandboxed storage protected by your device passcode, Face ID / Touch ID, and hardware encryption.

iCloud Integration

If you enable iCloud backup, your records are encrypted in transit and at rest within your personal Apple iCloud Drive container. Turtletay, Inc. has no access to your iCloud container or data.

5. Third-Party Services

CallTimes contains zero third-party software development kits (SDKs) for analytics, behavior tracking, or crash-reporting servers. The only external services used are Apple's operating system services (App Store and iCloud Drive).
